Rozaidah Kawau Story Starters

Once upon a time, there was a island called Kawau island, on the island there was a spooky mansion house. Inside the mansion was a old box full of letters. One of the letters said WHAT YOU WILL SEEK WHAT YOU WILL FIND, it also said beware of a spooky house.

There was a group called the ghost catchers, there group only had 5 people , there names were Nick, Katie, James, Lizzy and Olivia, there were only 2 boys and 3 girls, they went off hiking to go to the mansion house, when they finally got there they were so surprised, because outside of the house was perfect and very clean, Katie knocked on the door but the door opened by it self she got very spooked out, they all went inside the house they sawed a box there were 2 letters in it, one of the letters said, WHAT YOU SEEK MAY YOU FIND, the other letter said FIND A KEY AND YOU MAY LOCK ME FREE.

The group went out to find the key they saw a map, Lizzy said let’s follow this map Olivia said I’m not that sure the boys said come on let’s just follow the map, so they all followed the map. The map said next to an apple tree you will find a box of keys, the other map said you will go across a old swamp look under a big rock there will be a box full of a real key and a fake key, they each said let's start with the first key, they tried to open the door but the first key didn’t work so they tried the other key and that key finally worked, they all went inside and saw a ghost the ghost was making loud noises they all got  shocked, by the ghost THE END.

Balloon experiment

On the 18 of October, room 6 literacy class did an awesome experiment, the experiment was called the balloon shuttle, Mrs Sio said that we had to get in groups of 3 or groups of 2’s me and punaiuru was in groups of 2’s.   What will happen next?

Mrs Sio gave out the instructions the instructions were to get a chair and go outside near the team 4 block toilets, Mrs Sio said to get in a line to get a 3 meter long string, a straw and a balloon, the other instructions were to tie the rope on the chair, blow the balloon and get some tape put the tape on top of the straw and put the string inside the straw,  put the straw that has the string inside put the straw on the side of the ballon and the other person had to hold the rope up.

The other person has to hold the balloon and after 3 seconds let go of the ballon but not the string only the balloon. Me and punaiuru did it the first time but it didn’t work so we did it the second time and that is when it finally worked out we were so happy, we did this experiment because we are going to write what had happened today next time I wanted to do the spaghetti and marshmallow tower experiment.

But the other people experiments worked but the others people one failed like us but at the end we got it. Mrs Sio let us do this because we are going to write a excellent recount about the Balloon experiment, THE END.

The main thing that we did this is to have lots of fun and lots of ideas to write an awesome recount.
